You don’t hear anybody being terribly positive about walls these days. Bridges are very big, but walls are out. You hear about walls and bridges whenever people are talking about relationships. “Oh, we have too many walls. We need to get past that and build bridges. It’s time to tear down those walls. Jesus tore down walls, so should we.” The trouble is no bridge could reach all the way from the Bible to such pop psychology dribble-drabble. The distance is infinite.
